Se informa sobre el primer hallazgo de una tumba infantil aónikenk inalterada, en la vecindad de la laguna Sota (estancia "Brazo Norte", Magallanes). El entierro data de mediados del siglo XIX, época en que dicha etnia utilizaba variados ornamentos confeccionados a partir de materias primas adquiridas en los primeros asentamientos colonizadores de Patagonia. Las ofrendas del ajuar funerario son una muestra del intercambio correspondiente y de la influencia mapuche en la cultura de la etnia austral.
The first finding of an unaltered aónikenk child grave at the vicinity of Sota lagoon ("Brazo Norte" station, Magallanes) is reported. The burial dates from the middle of the XIX Century, epoch in which this ethnia used several ornaments made from raw materials adquired at the first colonist's establishments in Patagonia. The offerings of the burial ensemble are a sample of the corresponding intercourse and of the mapuche influence over the austral ethnia.
