dc.description.abstractSe presenta una síntesis de la historia limítrofe del Campo de Hielo Patagónico Sur, indicando las líneas fronterizas sostenidas por Chile y Argentina luego del laudo arbitral de 1902, la traza poligonal de 1991 y la traza finalmente acordada en 1998 por ambos países. El trabajo incluye una recopilación de las principales exploraciones, científicas y deportivas efectuadas en el período 1557-2000 al Campo de Hielo Patagónico Sur.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe border history of the Southern Patagonia Icefield is summarized, indicating the lines claimed by Chile and Argentina after the 1902 arbitration, as well as the polygon line of 1991 and the final border line agreed by both countries in 1998. The main scientific and mountaineering expeditíons to the Southern Patagonia Icefield during the period 1557-2000 are presented.es_ES
